STANDINGS
7/11/2009: 6th place with 368 points (68 points behind the leader - but the chase starts next week, so we still have a chance!)
RESULTS
April 10, 2009: Raced the 3rd Annual Frost Buster at Cedar County Raceway. Started on the pole and managed to hold everyone off through 15 laps and numerous cautions to take the win.
April 11, 2009: Finished 2nd in heat race, but due to cracked transmission housing, we were unable to start the feature.
April 25, 2009: Finished 2nd in heat race. Started feature in 11th. Finished 7th.
May 9, 2009: Started on the pole in the heat race and pulled out a win. Started second row inside and took it to the front for the second feature win of the season.
May 16, 2009: Pulled 2nd place in the heat to start 6th in the feature. Moved up to 4th before the checkers flew.
May 17, 2009: Ventured to East Moline. Pulling away with a heat win when a tire blew. Started 25th in the feature and drove all the way up to 5th without a scratch on the car, despite the unbelievable number of cautions!!
May 22, 2009: Went to Tipton to the Race for Freedom. Started 6th in the heat and moved up to 4th. Started 8th in the feature and finished 2nd. We're just happy we got to finish the race and bring the car home without any damage. The number of cautions was unbelievable! AND, Brad got the "Hard Charger" award! Another great night for the 3B!
May 24, 2009: Went to East Moline for the Street Stock Nationals. Started 17th and finished 12th. Given the number of cautions, we were just happy to come home in one piece!
May 29, 2009: Ventured to Tipton again. Started 5th in heat, finished 3rd. Started 5th in feature and finished 4th. Car had a terrible push to it.
May 30, 2009: West Liberty Raceway. Started 4th in heat race and finished 3rd. Started 6th in feature and pulled off another win! FOUND OUR PUSH and tossed it aside. Car looked great tonight. Brad truly earned that win! Great job, Brad.
June 13, 2009: West Liberty Raceway. Started 8th in the feature and maintained that position for the entire 15 laps. Given the condition of the track that night, we are just lucky to have brought it home in one piece, and with the motor still intact.
June 20, 2009: West Liberty Raceway. Started 3rd in the heat and moved up to finish 2nd. Got to start 2nd in the lineup in the feature, and quickly took the lead from Kevin Harsch, but as luck would have it, the motor blew on lap two. Scored 11th.
June 26, 2009: Cedar County Raceway. Finished 6th in the feature. Haha this was a while ago, so I don't know what happened that night. Guess I should update more often.
July 3, 2009: Cedar County Raceway. Brad gave Justin the opportunity to take the car for a spin. He did pretty well for having not been in a race car for a few years. Justin scored 3rd in his heat race, and 8th in the feature.
July 11, 2009: West Liberty Raceway. Brad quickly took the lead in his heat race and pulled off the win. Started 3rd row in the feature, and once again, held his position for a 6th place finish.
July 12, 2009: Cedar County Raceway. Cedar County Fair race. Started 4th in the heat race and held his spot for a 4th place finish. Started 5th in the feature, but midway through the race, a rubbing tire had all it could take and cost Brad the rest of the race. Pulled in and scored 11th.
July 17, 2009: Cedar County Raceway. Brad started 3rd in his heat and again held his position for a 3rd place finish. Started 3rd in the feature but spun a few laps in to avoid another spun car. Finished the race in 7th.
